NERO IMPALA® is a registered trademark that protects and guarantees the quality of the blocks produced in selected Finstone quarries in South Africa.
To be branded NERO IMPALA®, a block must be excavated in the following quarries located in the Rustenburg area (North West Province) in South Africa, within the Bushveld complex. It was found that the material extracted dates back 2 million years and is among one of the world’s largest intrusions of its kind in the world. The quarries that qualify as Nero Impala® grade material originate from: Marikana, Minaco, Springbok, Taylor’s, and Nell’s, as well as be compliant with the quality standards.

The trademark was registered in 2000 with the aim to distinguish Finstone’s granite production from the average black Rustenburg granite sourced in the same area.

This trademark does not just qualify the granite’s quality in terms of production but guarantees the compliance to numerous safety and regulation standards. These include: the correct excavation process, the respect of labor laws and the regard for environmental regulations implemented throughout the years by the South African government.

The beauty of Nero Impala® is that each surface finish offers a colour differentiation varying from dark to much lighter shades of grey.
